Spinal Stenosis

What is Spinal Stenosis?

Spinal stenosis is a condition where the spaces within the spinal canal, which houses the spinal cord and nerves, become narrowed. This narrowing can put pressure on the spinal cord and nerve roots, potentially causing pain, numbness, or weakness in the arms or legs. Spinal stenosis is most commonly diagnosed in older adults who also suffer from osteoarthritis.

Types of Spinal Stenosis

  • Central Stenosis 

  • Foraminal Stenosis 

  • Cervical Stenosis 

  • Lumbar Stenosis 

Symptoms 

  • Neck Pain

  • Numbness and/or weakness in the arms, hands, feet or legs

  • Difficulties with balance and walking

  • Bladder or bowel incontinence (in severe cases)

  • Pain in the back or legs that improves when sitting down or bending over

  • Numbness and/or weakness in the feet or legs

  • Burning or tingling sensation in the feet or legs

Non Surgical Treatment

 

Spinal Stenosis, Back Pain, Neck Pain

Surgical treatment, a spinal fusion may be required for severe cases of spinal stenosis.

Copay, Co-Insurance, Deductible, and Balance owed are due at the time of service.  If you have an outstanding balance on your account please be prepared to make payment prior to your scheduled appointment.

Cancellation Policy: No-Call / No-Show and Missed appointments without a full 24-HR notice will be charged a $65.00 missed appointment fee. The missed appointment fee must be paid prior to any future appointments being scheduled.
