What is Sciatica? 

Sciatica is one of the most common causes of lower back and lower extremity pain. Sciatica is caused by the compression of the sciatic nerve (the largest nerve in the body). The sciatic nerve runs through lower back, buttock, thigh, and leg muscles. Sciatic pain is typically felt on one side of your body and may travel down one buttock into the leg, even reaching your foot.

Causes

  • Piriformis syndrome

  • Lumbar Bulging Disc

  • Lumbar Herniated Disc, 

  • Degenerative Disc Disease

  • Lumbar Spinal Stenosis

Symptoms

  • Burning

  • Numbness and Tingling​

  • Pain increases while sitting or standing

  • Weakness

Non Surgical Treatment 

  • Anti-inflammatory medication (NSAIDs)

  • Pain medication

  • Physical Therapy

  • Intervention: injection of steroid and anesthetic medications.

Copay, Co-Insurance, Deductible, and Balance owed are due at the time of service.  If you have an outstanding balance on your account please be prepared to make payment prior to your scheduled appointment.

Cancellation Policy: No-Call / No-Show and Missed appointments without a full 24-HR notice will be charged a $65.00 missed appointment fee. The missed appointment fee must be paid prior to any future appointments being scheduled.
