Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

What is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a common condition triggered by the compression of a nerve in the wrist. The compression of the median nerve leads to gradually increasing sensations of numbness, tingling and sometimes pain and weakness in the hand, particularly in the thumb, index and middle fingers. Symptoms may begin at any time, and are often worse at night. If your carpal tunnel syndrome is severe the nerve can be permanently damaged.​

Cause:

  • Repetitiveness, strain and prolonged flexion/extension of the wrist

  • Injury, wrist fracture

  • Nerve dysfunction

  • Pregnancy

Symptoms

  • ache in fingers, hand or arm

  • pain in fingers, hand or arm

  • Numb hands

  • Tingling, or pins and needles sensation

  • Weak thumb with difficulty gripping

Non Surgical Treatment

  • Wrist Brace/Splint

  • Corticosteroid injections to the wrist

Copay, Co-Insurance, Deductible, and Balance owed are due at the time of service.  If you have an outstanding balance on your account please be prepared to make payment prior to your scheduled appointment.

Cancellation Policy: No-Call / No-Show and Missed appointments without a full 24-HR notice will be charged a $65.00 missed appointment fee. The missed appointment fee must be paid prior to any future appointments being scheduled.
