Sacroiliac Joint Pain
What is Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction?
Sacroiliac (SI) joint pain, or sacroiliac joint dysfunction, is a condition that causes pain in the sacroiliac joint, which connects the spine to the pelvis and can manifest as low back pain, hip pain, or buttock pain, and may also extend down the leg like sciatica. Sacroiliitis is often triggered by abnormal movement or malalignment of the SI joint, leading to pain and inflammation.

SI Dysfunction can be difficult to diagnose as the symptoms mimic other common conditions, including facet syndrome, disc herniation, and radiculopathy.
